2009... What's Cooking?
Guys, work has started on our programme for 2009, and we want to get bolder and braver! We're looking at the following airshows as possibilities: MAKS in Moscow, combined with Monino museum and some spotting at Shermatoyevo LAVEX in Libya Zeltweg in Austria. Following feedback on Pratica di Mare, the Austria tour will also have an 'aviation widows' programme for you married guys who would like to treat the missus to a holiday but would also like to catch some good aviation action. We are not taking bookings at this point, but I would appreciate if anyone who is interested would please let me know. Cheers, Mark

Alan, the price will depend on how many people we get on board. I'm trying to work this out through a travel agent (might even have a spouses' programme set up). Cannot commit on prices for the time being as Air Malta's schedules aren't out yet. For now, I'ld appreciate knowing who, like you is interested so, as soon as I have developments, I can contact immediately before air ticket prices go up. That way, we can have the best deal possible. Hope this clarifies.

Both MAKS and Lavex are tempting. I'd have to make a choice though ... When do they take place Mark? I know Lavex is late in the year - Sept or Oct? Charles

Maks is August. I've heard you have to travel as a group around here !! if you're alone in a taxi, you'll be driven to a makeshift "clinic" in some barn where they will take one kidney off you and sell it for a thousand pounds !! ..... that will be the end of your trying to sell one of yours to buy that flimsy, poor quality new Nikon of your dreams Mark !! 8) 8) 8)

Charles, Lavex is usually towards the end of the year. I'm trying to keep that one cheap by booking in advance and making it as short a trip as possible. However, I will also try to include a visit to the magnificent Roman remains at Leptis Magna and Sabratha...
