A full-scale hijack exercise will be carried out at the Malta International Airport on Thursday, organised by airport security and the Armed Forces of Malta.People are not to be alarmed by unusual movements of soldiers, policemen, medical staff and fire and rescue services in the vicinity of the airport, as well as Mater Dei Hospital, on the day. The exercise aims to test the national hijack plan and the responsiveness and interaction of the entities involved. The police, the Security Service, the Civil Protection Department, Air Malta, Malta International Airport, the Department of Information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs and the Health Department will also be involved in the exercise.

Only one Indian AF Hawk (ZK142/A3501) expected at 1130LT plus support a/c Falcon 20 G-FRAD of FR Aviation. Delivery of the last two hawks have postponed for next month, date tbc.

I think Indian Hawk departed 09.15 as i heard a loud noise from my workplace in Valletta..rushed to the window to check it out but couldnt see anything :cry: at least i managed to take a photo of it this morning...as well as of Qatar A 319

Indian Hawk and Support aircraft took off runway 31 joined up and flew over Attard in formation turning to fly over the island east to west also in formation

I saw them passing over my place of work in Fgura ! It was a realy intresting rare formation (Hawk & Support Aircraft side by side)
