Against All odds - an Amazing Airshow!
Be it MIA's insurance issue, the local councils moaning and groaning, the cancellation of the Croatians, another succesful airshow has been achieved! Well done to all those who contributed in some way to making this show a success! To many more! Mark

Yeah it's true this year altough few aircraft & other problems we saw a great airshow and also displays from the Swiss Air Force PC-7 Team, RNLAF F-16 and i liked the P-92 Tecnams of the Vega Display Team and to say the truth i didn't excpected that type of show from them. I'd like to thank Malta Aviation Society and other helpers for giving us again the Yearly Airshow and hope to see it again next year with more attractions and aircraft especially from the RAF and Italian Air Force. This was a memorable experience not only for me but for all the Maltese people, who attended it or saw it from somewhere in the vicinities of the airport and especially for us, The Aircraft Enthusiasts

Sure, the airshow wasn't as good as last year's - but then last year's was exceptional! For me it was a memorable weekend. Take Thursday, with the mad carcade from rwy 14 to rwy 06 when people heard on their airband radios that the incoming Dutch F-16s had been routed there. Or take Saturday, when I nearly clocked a friend on the head with my lens as I swung round to catch a departing Emirates A330. I enjoyed myself throughout - even if the aforementioned friend had a couple of anxious moments! Igri jasal Settembru 2007!

I would like to thank Malta Aviation Society for giving us a great airshow every year. For a small country like ours we have a very good airshow each year. I really really hope that this is not the last one. Believe me that the airshow is a big big hassel for a large number of people which they work on a voluntary basis and without their great work we would not have an event like this and surley there must be something like this at least every year for us the aircrafts enthusiasts. It's true that this year was a little bit poor when compared to other editions but believe me that it was not M.A.S fault. M.A.S is finding many obstacles each year when organising the airshow which varies from the air forces them selves to local people who don't want us to enjoy at least one weekend a year. no it shouldn't be the last one according to the president of the MAS, i think one of the problems is the conflicts that are taken placeat the mom, for example US UK and italy are on 3 separate areas of conflicts, and i think they are running at full capacity, an other prob is the high fuel cost which is increasing by the hour. On the whole i enjoyed the airshow, i spent 5 days on the airfield and enjoy every second, hope that nxt yr's will be better
