Bomb Scare on Malta-bound plane (Miniliner?)
ROME, Italy/Malta (di-ve news) -- November 21, 2006 -- 2030CET -- A Mediterranea plane directed to Malta from the Ciampino Airport in Rome had to be inspected by the Italian bomb disposal unit after that an anonymous phone call led to a bomb scare. Consequently the airport had to be closed for an hour and incoming flights were temporarily diverted to Fiumicino. The aircraft was inspected by the specialised unit who found no suspicious items. The airport was again open for traffic after an hour.
