IVAO Malta Airshow 2006
Hi everyone,
Every September for the past 13 years the well awaited airshow takes place. This year it will occur during the weekend of the 23rd -24th September, plays host to various civil & military aircraft who, through their stunning displays, aim to please the crowds (and photographers alike).
This year the IVAO Malta Divsion has seized this opportunity to start off the winter season on IVAO with our own ‘virtual’ airshow, the IVAO Malta Airshow, a first of its kind for the MT division. Unlike other events, this will be a Special Operations Event spread over four days involving civil and military airshow aircraft and FULL ATC coverage in our airspace. Pilots, who may take part individually or as a squadron, are required to fly to Luqa from any airport of their choice, perform at least one display (solo or team display) and fly back to their airport of origin. In other words, the events schedule shall be as follows:
Day 1 – Friday 29th September 1830Z - Arrivals of all Participants.
Day 2 – Saturday 30th September 1000Z (1st Day of the Airshow) - Air Displays for Teams / Squadrons / Individuals.
Day 3 – Sunday 1st October 1000Z (2nd Day of the Airshow) - Air Displays for Teams / Squadrons / Individuals.
Day 4 – Monday 2nd October 1830Z - Departure of all Participants.
You are invited to take part in this event with us and help make it a success. Pilots satisfying the required criteria shall be awarded a Special Operations point. If you are interested in participating visit www.ivao.aero/mt for more information and help in registering.
