September 8th, 2008 Malta's favourite air force, the Royal Air Force, is this year celebrating 90years of existence and the strong connection between Malta and the RAF will be renewed at this year's Malta International Airshow. Spearheaded by the Red Arrows and accompanied by the Hawk, Tucano and Beech 200 aircraft - some in anniversary colours - efforts continue to entice the RAF to send the newest, tip-of-the-spear Typhoon to fly over the magnificent islands of St Paul on the 27th and 28th of September, 2008.

INFO JUST RECEIVED... x2 RAF Typhoon from 29(R) Sqn are now CONFIRMED for the Malta International Airshow !!!! They should arrive Airshow's Saturday, make display and depart to Barcelona same day... ....they should return to Malta on Airshow's Sunday....and then depart on Monday to RAF Akrotiri.

Almost too good to be true! That's a heck of a lot of flying just so they can make Malta's airshow. The pilots will really deserve our thanks.
