Malta International Airshow 2008

Typhoon display was short. i liked the hawk alot! best entrance. king air was kinda boring :/ a VEGA pilot told me they didnt come this year because of bad weather.

YEAH THE HAWK WAS GREAT BUT THE TYPHOON IS WAY BETTER FOR THE NOISE AND MANOUVERS

Ooh yeah typhoon too! noise is everything! all in all i prefer the f16 of last yr.... smoke winders make all the difference ;)

What about the Tucano ? I liked it much more than the Hawk :D

Guys, on Sat all the display pilots were restricted because of the low cloud base ! Rest assured that, that was not all the Typhoon can do !

What about the Tucano ? I liked it much more than the Hawk :D Tucano was great! The stalls and rolls were so precise! Canadair display was better today because he was touching down closer to the shore! I don't know why HarbourAir didn't land today because the sea was much more rough then yesterday! Over all for me it was a great show, surely better then FAIRFORD :)

Departure times I have are:- Tucanos 0900 Jetstreams 1000 CL-415 1000 RAF Be 200 1030 Harriers 1100 KC-135 1200

It was spectacular when one Hawk (RedArrows) went very low climbing on to Selmun barracks (You could see how low he was flying because of the shadow closely beneath it on the slope of the hill) then he went down behind this hill! NICE !!

Departures are gonna be quiet! is it true the typhoons are coming back? or is it just a rumour?

I don't know about you guys, but I had a whale of a time at the airshow even though I had to miss today's departures. Saturday's weather was the pits, but Sunday more than made up for it. I must have shot some 800 photos. On Sunday evening I was feeling exhausted after 3 whole days shooting, but very very happy ... Roll on the next one. 8)

I only went yesterday (Sunday) to park 4 in the morning at st pauls in the afternoon since last saturday i arrived from 6 months working in the philippines and so i was exhausted after the long flight from manila via dubai but i liked the show and enjoyed every minute of it. The red arrows were just awesome! Luckily i saw the typhoons this morning from the roof of my house although i couldnt see them last saturday.
