Well the copyright is with the photographer. Airliners would not have permission to release an image without consent of the photographer. This is the case with any photograph, the copyright alway remains with the photographer. In this case he was obviously unaware his image was being published in a national newspaper. In my expierence, when this has happend in the past, the photographer can send an invoice to the publication for fees for using his work. Its irelivant if the paper pays fees or not as this image was used illegally without consent. If this goes unanswered, then a copyright infringment case and escentially theft of personal property should be persued legally against the publication. We spend a lot of time and effort as photographers, and blatant stealing of our work should be dealt with accordingly.

X' gharukaza !! or however it is spelt !! if they ask me for permission and payment for a front page I would maybe content with Lm30 - Lm50. But if they just steal it just like that, I would not continue living my normal life before I get Lm500 off them. I swear !
