UK Tour 2008
So, it's time to set the cogs in motion for the 2008 tour. Tentative dates are 5th-19th July, that is 10 days leave for those who work a 5-day week. The plan calls for: Spotting at Manchester Fairford Airshow Duxford Airshow RAF Cosford Museum Farnborough Airshow The Mach Loop in Wales (the Mach loop is an area where the RAF conducts low level flying training. You climb the hills and you can take photos of Tornados, Hawks, Hercs and what not, flying at very low level beneath you! It's the closest you'll ever get to an air-to-air photo of a military jet!) Spotting at some London airports. More details will be announced later.

How much is the price cause I really want to go to the 'Loop' sometime in my life.. Ruben

Reuben, I'm aiming for the Lm 450 budget (350 for under-16s), but I'm still working on the costings. As always, I aim for a price including all the stuff, including taxes, travel insurance and transport. You just bring spending money and money for meals, otherwise it's practically all included. Well, we usually work on a "by installment" basis! We book something, we pay for it. We book something else a month later, and we pay for it. With the Fairford trip, leaving next week, we spread the cost over 6 months. Since we planned so well ahead, things like flights were cheaper and we didn't find it too difficult to pitch in a further 25 quid for a flight on a Dragon Rapide!

Guys, Updated the programme. We might organise two tours. June - Day Trip to London Heathrow July - 8th to the 15th Heathrow, Fairford, RAF Brize Norton or London Gatwick As yet prices are not yet definitive, but we're looking at around Lm 70 for the daytrip and around Lm 350 for Fairford, but we're awaiting confirmation of the accomodation and flights.
